How international rates are calculated
Every country page starts from the same live international spot price in US dollars per troy ounce and converts it with the day's exchange rate. Gulf currencies are pegged to the dollar, so their prices track spot almost exactly. We don't add local VAT or dealer premiums into the number; instead each page explains the local taxes, because they depend on whether you buy investment bars or jewellery.
