A free, independent place to check the price of silver and understand where it comes from.
What we do
SilverInfo shows the live price of silver for India, China and ten other countries, and explains how each number is built. Most price sites give you a figure with no working; we show the international price, the exchange rate and every tax on top, and link to the rules behind them.
Alongside prices you'll find city guides, calculators for jewellery bills, returns and tax, and guides to purity, hallmarks and buying.
How we're different
- Real data. Live spot prices and real Shanghai exchange quotes, not estimates dressed up as live prices.
- Current rules. India's 15% import duty (since May 2026), the silver bar import restriction and the 2024 capital gains rules are built into our numbers and tools.
- No invented detail. We don't make up different prices for each city; we explain why the benchmark is national.
- Sources on every page. Articles and guides list what they are based on.
Independence
SilverInfo is not a dealer, bank or broker and does not sell silver. We are not affiliated with any exchange or jeweller. The site is funded by advertising, and advertisers have no influence on our content. Read our editorial policy and methodology.
