Editorial policy
How we research, write, date and correct everything on SilverInfo.
Who writes
Content is researched and written by the SilverInfo editorial team. We don't publish sponsored articles and we don't take payment to mention dealers, products or services.
Sources we trust, in order
- Official documents: customs notifications, DGFT notices, Bureau of Indian Standards rules, exchange rulebooks.
- Exchanges and market data: the Shanghai Gold Exchange, the Shanghai Futures Exchange, LBMA, public price feeds.
- Established news organisations and industry bodies for events and context.
When sources disagree, we say so. Where a figure is an estimate (for example an import-parity benchmark), we label it and show the formula.
Dates
News articles show the date we published them. Guides show when they were last meaningfully updated. Price pages change every minute, so they show the time of the latest price instead. We never change a date just to make a page look fresh.
Corrections
If you spot an error, email contact@silverinfo.in with the page and, if you can, a source. We fix confirmed mistakes quickly and note significant corrections on the page.
What we don't do
- Publish invented per-city prices, fake reviews or made-up author profiles.
- Give personal investment advice. Our tools and guides explain how things work; decisions are yours.
